Both WiFi models allow remote monitoring and adjustment through a mobile app, providing accurate floor temperature monitoring, precise temperature regulation, and consistent warmth. 

WarmWire features a durable outer jacket, corrosion-resistant copper conductors, a factory-connected cold lead, and adjustable cable spacing at 2.5”, 3”, or 3.5” intervals, allowing you to customize the wattage per square foot based on the desired comfort level. For high heat loss areas such as sunrooms or basements, cable spacing can alternate between 2.5 and 3 inches for increased output, while lower heat loss areas like hallways can alternate between 3 and 3.5 inches to reduce watt density. The underfloor heating system is a highly efficient and eco-friendly way to warm your floors and can be used as a primary or secondary heat source. This system uses electric radiant floor heating cables/ wires with uncoupling waterproofing tile underlayment membrane/ sheets/ floor mats.

SunTouch requires a polymer-modified thin-set mortar that meets ANSI A118.4 or ANSI A118.11 standards when installing the HeatMatrix uncoupling membrane over approved substrates such as plywood, OSB, cement backer board, or concrete slabs. These mortars provide the necessary bond strength and flexibility to properly secure the membrane and support the long-term performance of the radiant heating system.

Commonly used polymer-modified thin-set mortars that meet these standards include ARDEX X 5, ARDEX X 32, ARDEX X 77, MAPEI Ultraflex 2, MAPEI Ultraflex LFT, LATICRETE 254 Platinum, LATICRETE 253 Gold, and Schluter ALL-SET.

When installing tile or stone over the HeatMatrix membrane, a polymer-modified thin-set mortar is also required to ensure proper adhesion between the tile and the membrane surface.

For WarmWire installations using CableStrap, the heating cables must be fully encapsulated in an approved polymer-modified thin-set mortar or self-leveling underlayment prior to installing the finished flooring. Approved self-leveling underlayment options include ARDEX K 15, ARDEX K 60, ARDEX TL-1000, ARDEX TL-1200, ARDEX TL-1300, MAPEI Self-Leveler Plus and LATICRETE NXT Level, which help create a flat, smooth surface before tile or stone installation.

All mortars and underlayments must be installed in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable ANSI standards to ensure proper bonding, encapsulation, and long-term durability.
